Teeing Off To Deals On BOCCIM Golf Day

South African companies have been invited to participate in the inaugural BOCCIM Business Golf Day on Friday because the giant neighbour is Botswana's largest trading partner, the Botswana Confederation of Commerce, Industry and Manpower said last Friday.

"Botswana imports 80 percent of its goods from South Africa, so they are important stakeholders in business in Botswana. We would like to strengthen our working relationship with SA," Maria Machailo-Ellis, the employer federation's executive director, told a press conference on Friday at the Gaborone Golf Club where the teeing off will take place.

The BOCCIM Business Golf Day is an attempt by BOCCIM, which represents over 1,600 businesses, to get company executives to interact and share ideas in an informal, but effective, setting.
