Tati Nickel bounces from recession- Sebetlela

FRANCISTOWN: The Managing Director of Tati Nickel Mining Company (TNMC), Sebetlela Sebetlela, says his company has survived the global economic recession that affected many companies.

"You will agree with me that 2008/09 was not a good year for anyone of us here except for the few lucky ones," he said at TNMC's Christmas party Friday evening. "The global economic recession affected a lot of companies in this country."

Mining contributes significantly to the economy, he said, adding that because of the recession, global demand for minerals dwindled and prices reached rock bottom.
