Talana Farms moves into BDC factory shell

SELEBI-PHIKWE: A Botswana Development Corporation (BDC) factory shell that had been lying idle in the industrial site has finally been occupied by Talana Farms as a warehouse for farm produce.

The building had been vacant for a long time because of steep rentals, which worried Selebi- Phikwe Town Council  authorities seeking ways and means of diversifying the town's mono-economy based on copper/nickel mining. The opening of the warehouse within the town means that customers will no longer have to travel long distances to Talana Farms, which are located on the eastern side of Bobirwa, for their supplies.

Operations manager Nemanya Radovanovic said the new outlet would help their customers who had been facing difficulties in accessing Talana Farms. "We were looking for space and accessibility to our customers from all corners of the country. Our customers are delighted at this development because it will save them both time and money," he said.
