Stand Up For Yourselves ', Native American Tells Basarwa Artists

Selected artists from six southern African countries will benefit from the Kellogg Foundation when they take their art works to the lucrative art market of Santa Fe, New Mexico, in the United States next year.

The South Africa-based  Director of the Kellog Foundation Africa, Dr Gloria Somolekae, told AFP in Gaborone that her office has invited a huge number of Native Americans to tour art works in the rural areas of Mozambique, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Lesotho and Swaziland, and to share with artists in these countries how they may benefit from the lucrative art market.

" Santa Fe is famous worldwide as an arts centre. It attracts art lovers from Europe and around the US itself. At Kellogg's, we want to inspire artists to take advantage of the Santa Fe market.
