Senn Foods is emerging the winner in the panic caused by the identification of several South African cold meat producers as the source of a deadly disease outbreak in that country.

Senn Foods is a 33 year citizen owned meat company based in Tlokweng. While the company’s products are popular, Senn Foods’ stomping ground has come under pressure from cheaper South African cold meats over the years.

The Ministry of Health and Wellness yesterday closed the border on imports of Enterprise Food Production Factory and Rainbow Chicken Limited, after the two companies were identified as the source of the listeria outbreak that has killed nearly 200 people in South Africa.
