Prioritise agriculture - Debswana

Debswana values agriculture and the role it plays in the lives of people, said Debswana Group Corporate and Public Affairs Manager, Ester Kanaimba, at the Botswana Agricultural Teachers Association's national agricultural show held in Sebele last week.

Kanaimba said great priority should be placed at the centre of agricultural activities as the sector remains the mainstay of the majority of people in Botswana.

Kanaimba said agriculture remains a priority, despite its relatively small contribution (2.5 percent) to the country's overall Gross Domestic Product (GDP), compared to Debswana (30 percent).
