Orange Is In No Kneejerk Reaction PRO

Mobile phone operator Orange Botswana's newly appointed Public Relations Manager Karabo Tlhabiwe says his company is not caught in a knee-jerk response despite reacting rather late to its rival Mascom Botswana's wide range of products and prepaid services such as airtime sharing, call back, quick recharge, and picture messaging.

"Orange is not being reactive," Tlhabiwe says. "We introduce new products and services for the benefit of our customers according to a business strategy set out well in advance.

 
"While cognisance is taken of market trends, our decision-making is biased towards pre-planned activity based on best practice from the Orange Group and insights and customer sentiment derived from extensive and regular market research."
Orange started only last month to offer a quick recharge service, but started other prepaid services like airtime sharing last year.
