At an event held in Phakalane for Microsoft customers, partners and members of the media to gain first hand experience of the new products, Microsoft also showcased the new Windows Server 2008 R2 product as well as Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 which they say will deliver more 'bang for your buck' in every company's IT department.
"Windows 7 represents years of in-depth listening to our customers and partners around the globe, and is the most well researched, well planned Windows release ever. "We have also crafted different packages of the Windows 7 for different consumers with the cheapest one going for around US$40(P280) while the highest should be around US$200(P1,400). Although Windows 7, which costs Microsoft between US$4 billion and US$6 billion in research and development, was only officially launched in Botswana yesterday, it had been available on the shelves since last month.
