Metal Artist Makes Strides As An Entrepreneur

FRANCISTOWN: Tonota-born Davis Tainton, 44, has found a niche in making sculptures from metals. Trading under Davis Metal Works, the business is currently located at Tonota village in Kweneng ward.

He told Business Monitor that some of the metal structures he makes include carports, metal gates, window frames, door frames to mention but a few.

Tainton said he started his business 10 years ago and aims to open a bigger workshop in a few years to come. He said he grew up aspiring to be a welder, but decided to boost his career by turning his skills into art.
