Malesu hails private sector involvement in investment seminar

JOHANNESBURG: The Minister of Trade and Industry Dorcas Makgato-Malesu has hailed the increasing participation of the private sector in selling Botswana to potential investors.

Speaking at a media briefing at the end of a one-day seminar dubbed 'Doing Business in Botswana' last Thursday, Malesu said it was encouraging to see the private sector taking part in an investment promotion mission because it showed confidence in the business environment in their country.

"At a risk of tarnishing their brand, they are willing to come here and tell the truth about doing business in Botswana, telling investors that they were able to succeed," she said. "This is very encouraging and I applaud them for that."
