LionOre de-lists from BSE

LionOre has de-listed from the Botswana Stock Exchange following the successful takeover of its assets and outstanding shares by Russian mining giant Norilisk Nickel.

LionOre, which owned Tati Nickel Mine, also had a stake in BCL Mine.
The BSE accepted LionOre's application to de-list from the bourse on 29 August. Prior to that, the counter had been suspended from trading for a week while the application was considered.

LionOre had a primary listing in Canada before pulling off the Toronto Stock Exchange last month. The firm also de-listed from the Australian bourse in last June.
Norilisk is the leading Russian mining company with a global presence and employs over 85 000 people at its operations around the world.
It is also the world's largest nickel producer with an international nickel business production of 80 000 tonnes.
