Kenya, Botswana Airlines In Code-sharing Deal

Botswana will reap rich from a code-sharing arrangement with Kenya Airways which will start flying to Gaborone on September 4, officials said on Friday.

Speaking at a media briefing to announce the re-launch, officials from Kenya Airways and Air Botswana said the partnership is a win-win deal that will see Botswana benefiting from the superior Kenya Airways network.

"The code-share will encourage tourist traffic and intra-Africa business travel, and will help establish Sir Seretse Khama International Airport as an attractive alternative to Johannesburg as a regional aviation hub," Air Botswana said in a statement.
