Graduands urged to make entrepreneurship a priority

Prospects to get a job for the growing number of graduates have become increasingly uncertain as a result of a continued strain on the country’s economic climate.

In fact, influential leaders who recently attended a workshop dubbed ‘the Business Intervention’ at the University of Botswana (UB) raised serious concerns about the scarcity of jobs, while appealing for a change of mindset from the graduands.

Delivering a keynote address, specially elected legislator and renowned economist, Bogolo Kenewendo stated that entrepreneurship presents the best solution to  unemployment in the country. “Job creation has become a major priority for our government, which is why it is at the top of the table at the Office of the President,” she stated.
