Gov't urged to clarify relations

Botswana, which is one of Africa's success stories in terms of economic development, has been applauded for its achievements.

Speaking at the Botswana Confederation of Commerce Industry and Manpower (BOCCIM) annual dinner at the Gaborone International Convention Centre (GICC) on Saturday, the chief executive officer of FirstRand Bank of South Africa, Sizwe Nxasana, said the country boasts a sound macro-economic environment which has seen growth average almost nine percent over the last 10 years.

Nxasana said the fact that Botswana's economic growth has somewhat slowed down is not an indication of anything wrong, but rather a normal economic phenomenon which affects all economies of the world.
