Govt agencies join forces against tender rigging

The Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Board (PPADB), the Directorate on Corruption and Economic Crimes and the Competition Authority plan to sign a Memorandum of Understanding to fight bid collusion and rigging in tendering, the executive chairperson of PPABD, Bridget John, announced on Monday.

The MoU, which is to be signed before the end of this year, will spell out the roles of each organisation in the fight against collusion and rigging.

Speaking yesterday at the end of a two-day workshop for Ministerial Tender Committees (MTCs), John said the development followed discussions among the three organisations on ways to work together to "tighten the screws and fight collusion in public procurement and asset disposal".
