F/town chicken shortage hits catering industry

FRANCISTOWN: As the shortage of dressed chicken that has hit suppliers, grocery stores and butcheries in Francistown continues, the catering sector has also come under siege.

One of the most popular 'haunts' for lunchtime patrons is the Market Place in the Mall.

Belinah Sekepe, a lunch caterer on the Market Place, says she has resorted to serving free-range 'Tswana chicken' to bypass the shortage of the popular braaipack and the price hike the shortage has caused.
