DML in record output

Copper miner Discovery Metals Limited (DML) has reported record monthly production at its Boseto copper mine, near Maun, during July.

During the month, the Boseto mine produced 2 061 tonnes of copper, up 15.2 percent on the monthly average during the fourth quarter of 2014. CEO Bob Fulker pointed out on Thursday that the July production followed on from the best operating quarter to date, in which 5 367 tonnes of copper in concentrate was delivered during the June quarter.

“It is great to see the culmination of many months of improvement at the Boseto mine reflected in our results,” Fulker added. As part of the company’s turnaround strategy, DML recently announced that it has restructured its debt to reduce its existing interest-bearing debt by $59-million.
