Ditech Phones Innovator Strikes Deal With beMobile

Thatayaone Dichaba, a local innovator who is the brains behind Ditech mobile phones, has managed to secure a three-year contract with local mobile operator, beMobile as well as some international countries for his own 3G smart phones called ‘Pioneer’.

Speaking during an interview with Business Monitor, Dichaba said he was excited when the mobile operator signed a three-year contract with them after their deal in Uganda.

 “We first secured a deal in Uganda about three years ago where we sold about 4,000 units, and we were extremely grateful when we managed to get a contract with beMobile. This shows that they believed in our innovation which motivated us,” he said.
