Discovery Metals extends stock trade freeze

Boseto Mine promoter, Discovery Metals has extended its trading halt on the Australian and Botswana stock markets pending the finalisation of the company's cash raising plan.

The extension comes amid a fresh row with top shareholder, Cathay Fortune.Discovery Metals suspended the trading of its shares last Friday on the understanding that this will be lifted yesterday.But the company has now extended the freeze by a further three days up to Friday this week.

In a statement to the ASX, where Discovery has a primary listing, the company said it was requesting another immediate voluntary trading halt. "The trading halt is requested pending an announcement by Discovery Metals in relation to its future financing arrangements, including an accelerated non-renounceable entitlement offer.
