Consumer fair attracts 512 exhibitors

According to Fairgrounds Holdings marketing and media manager, Thabo Mogomotsi, the Fair is growing organically. He told the media briefing on Tuesday that this year recorded a four percent growth rate in terms of the number of exhibitors and stall sales.
“This year the Fair has grown more than we expected, some of the exhibitors are even in corridors because all the spaces have been occupied. We are expecting 60,000 visitors this year,” said Mogomotsi.
Smash-and-grab incidents became common at traffic lights, Automatic Teller Machine (ATM) bombings made headlines too often, cash-in-transit robberies terrified security personnel, while home invasions left families traumatised in the very places they were supposed to feel safest.
