BPC to ink 100MW solar deal by November

The Botswana Power Corporation (BPC) expects to sign a long awaited deal for the development of 100 megawatts of solar power by November this year, BusinessWeek has learnt.

From an initial plan to develop 200MW, the attempts have scaled down over the years to the current outstanding tender for Independent Power Producers (IPP) to develop 2 x 50MW solar capacity.
