The Emergency Assist product is set to offer customers medical emergency services in all countries of the SADC region. This cover will entitle the policyholders and their dependents to several benefits and services.
The services include an emergency medical response by road or air to the scene of a medical emergency, transfer of the patient to a most appropriate medical facility, inter-hospital transfer by air or road, as well as emergency telephonic medical advice and information.
Speaking during the launch recently, Botswana Life chief operations officer, Priscillah Ndadi, said Botswana Life would be responsible for distributing this product and carrying out the necessary administration services.
"In recent years, there are many challenges we overcome as a nation.
However, we have certainly many challenges still to come on the horizon, due to the health and socio-economic effects of the pandemic as well as global unrest. As a corporate citizen, therefore, we are committed to finding and providing purposeful and relevant solutions dedicated to improving the lives of our customers,” Ndadi said.
To access the benefits of EA991, the policyholder calls 991 to make a claim, and Emergency Assist 991 will dispatch the most appropriate emergency medical assistance. “Forming this partnership came naturally to us, as both Botswana Life and Emergency Assist 991 have a common interest of being of service to Batswana and being able to be of assistance to them even beyond our borders.
We are constantly seeking ways to add value to our clients through nuanced solutions that leave a lasting impact on the lives of those we serve. We pride ourselves in our ability to continue supporting our clients,” she said.
