BoB Wants P10 Notes Returned

FRANCISTOWN: The Bank of Botswana (BoB) is appealing to the public to deposit P10 notes with banks in order for worn out notes to be removed from circulation.

This follows widespread complaints that P10 notes deteriorate easily, to the point that some people do not accept them as legal tender.

Shops and other businesses are also reluctant to accept them from customers. 
Street vendor Segametsi Pule says people refuse to take the notes as change, adding that the bills are often torn or sealed together with adhesive tape.
