BoB seminar hears of poor banking services

FRANCISTOWN: Though Francistown has experienced a slight increase in the number of commercial banks, the business community here is not happy with the time they spend queuing up for services.

Speaking at a Bank of Botswana (BoB)-hosted economic briefing for the Francistown business community at Thapama Hotel on Monday, the former Botswana Confederation of Commerce, Industry and Manpower (BOCCIM) president, Iqbal Ibrahim, lamented poor service delivery in the banking sector.

"You spend two to three hours in the queue," he said. "Are we saying these banks are competitive?"
