BECI eyes bigger role in Botswana’s economic growth

The Botswana Export Credit Insurance and Guarantees (BECI) says it wants to expand its support for Small to Medium Enterprises (SMEs), emerging exporters and larger cross-border transactions, as it positions itself to contribute to Botswana’s economic growth over the next 30 years.

BECI CEO, Segametsi Sethantsho, said the institution’s next chapter would focus on strengthening partnerships, improving businesses’ capacity to manage credit and risk and facilitating access to finance and new markets.

Sethantsho said BECI’s ambition was to go beyond marking three decades of existence and become a key enabler of Botswana’s future economic development.
