FRANCISTOWN: Three artists have given the world of art another dimension by forming a company aimed at revolutionising their artistic talents. The three artists are namely Nyaladzi Gombane (24) from Sechele village in the North East District, Michael Mooki (32) from Thamaga and Davis Mareka (26) of Serowe who was not present during the interview.

They formed a company called Artomac Cultural Holdings. Artomac Cultural Holding was formed in May 2011 and it is geared at making a vast of avant-garde paintings, drawings and even sculptures.  It was funded to the tune of P82,000, which they obtained from the Youth Grant. The trio, who are from different backgrounds, had a similar eye in art and they saw it fit to venture into the industry and applied for the youth grant to survive as their lives were in disarray.

According to Mooki, they are in love with drawing, painting and crafting and when they were given the opportunity to start a company they could not wait another day."When our youth coordinator told us that with our three talents combined we could do wonders, we decided to put our heads together," he said. Talking of his art background Mooki said that he started art at the age of five when he used to draw cartoons and eventually created a comic book for himself."I used to collect as many drawings as I could and it is from that tender age that I started to nurture my talent in art," he said.
