Wild food added to diet as rains pour

It is that time of the year again when various wild foods that nature so generously bestows on this country every season, are ready for harvest, and with that comes opportunities, for many who profit from selling these goodies.

Thanks to the perpetual good rains that have characterised the end of 2010 and the beginning of the new year, Batswana across the country have started cashing in on the wild foods and the capital city has not missed out as the urban dwellers join the rush for Botswana's popular delicacies.

Wild berries otherwise know as Moretlwa, Mophane worms - Phane, and wild veggies such as Thepe, have become a common sight at the Gaborone station and main mall where they are selling like fat cakes.
