Rateby's debut album caters for all Christians

Ounah Rateby has released his debut gospel album, Matto's Sounds of Worship. The offering contains 15 tracks - Magodimo, Khotso khotso, Morekolodi, Sefaapano, Godimo ga thaba, Lift him up/Higher, Tsohle di lokile, Alpha and Omega, Siyakuthanda, Inside of you, Ke ngwoan'a hao, Na ke bo mang/O thapile?, Ga yo o tshwanang le wena and Fa Jesu a bonagala.

As the title of the album suggests, most of the songs are traditional hymns and worship songs.
Rateby has wisely included songs from different Christian denominations and this might win him fans from mainline, Pentecostal/Charismatic and apostolic/Zionist churches. Some of the songs to look out for in the album are Khotso khotso, Morekolodi, Tsohle di lokile, Siyakuthanda, Ke ngoana a hao and Na ke bomang/O thapile?

Those who are familiar with traditional hymns would know that Morekolodi and O thapile? are from mainline churches, namely the Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) and the United Congregational Council of Southern Africa (UCCSA) respectively. Khotso khotso, Ke ngoan'a hao and Na ke bo mang are more popular with apostolic churches and Pentecostals. Rateby added a tinge of apostolic approach in the tracks Sefaapano and Khotso khotso, making them pleasing to the ear.
