Punah Wins live band category

Afro-Jazz sensation Punah Gabasiane, with a stage act imitating medical workers, on Saturday won the Live band Category to proceed to the finals of the Heritage Month Awards, where the Winners get P25 000 cash.

She beat Joel Ntsoro Rebaone's artist, Tshenolo, to 2nd place, while last year's winners from Gaborone region, City boys, finished 3rd this time around. The finals were held at the G-West mall. Meanwhile after trying several times in the past years, dance star, scavenger has finally booked himself a place in the finals of the Backtrack category, where he also stands to win P25000. Ditiro Leero and Bakang finished 2nd and 3rd respectively. The next round of the contemporary music competitions goes to Phikwe this coming Saturday.
