Pula! Money matters opens at maitisong

Money Matters stole the hearts of those who were present at Maitisong  on  Saturday for the official opening of the Maitisong Festival .From the well rehearsed acts ,to the on point lighting  and the cast's timeliness on stage the play left such an impression that it seemed those in attendance wanted more when it was over.

As the name Pula! Money Matters states, the play reflects on the need and use of money on a daily basis in the society. It addresses the financial struggles and pressures that individuals, families and business people have to go through to make sure that they are financially stable .At the same time it also shows how easy it is for people to get caught up in a web of debt that always proves to be a challenge to get out of and may take a lifetime. The play ended up revealing the general power of money and as the name Pula!Money Matters it reflected that when you have money you matter and have a status attached to that. Because of the setting in Botswana the name Pula is the currency used in Botswana hence why the adaptation to use the pula.
