Only 50 pitched up for F/town My Star auditions

FRANCISTOWN: For the first time since the inception of the My Star talent search five years ago, the auditions came to Francistown on Saturday, but that did not seem to arouse any excitement as only a paltry 50 aspirants showed up for the session.

Even the 50 left the judges unimpressed with their talent.  Despite the low turnout by prospective singers, the Civic Centre hall, where the talent search was held, was teeming with spectators who paid an entrance fee to watch the show.

One of the My Star judges, Sidney Baitsile aka DJ Sid, said majority of the performances were "not up to scratch".
