The 2009 My Star winner, Kitso Selato, has revealed that he has signed a three-year contract with Pop Star Botswana Company. My Star Company, owned by Master D, has also hired a manager for Selato, his runners-up Dineo and Naledi, and the 2008 winner Tebogo Tlhagadikgora.

Selato says although the company does not pay him a monthly salary, management is committed to ensuring that the artists have a minimum of three shows in a month from which they get paid. " It is not too bad, so far things are going well," said Selato in an interview from his home.

However, the singer, who also recorded an album last year, was not ready to share with Showbiz how the album is doing on the market. " I honestly can't say much at the moment. We have a meeting towards the end of this month at which Master D will brief me on the figures you are asking for. However, I have observed copies being ordered from the studio, while sales during our shows have been impressive," Selato said.
