Moeng a rare breed of an artist

Godfrey Moeng is a rare breed of artists, one of the few young generation musicians who have shown much interest in an unfashionable musical instrument.

Moeng is a keen Setinkane player who also prides himself in the fact that at a very early age he had already mastered quite a number of indigenous musical instruments like Marimba, the four-string guitar, indigenous handmade percussions shakers.

Ironically Moeng does not only play these instruments but can also manufacture most of them.A product of Mambo Arts Commune, the Radisele-born lad has spent his entire life either making these instruments, playing them or workshopping people on how to handle and play them.
