Malian art director leaves Thapong impressed

The director of Centre Soleil d'Afrique in Bamako, Mali, who has been in residency at the Thapong Visual Arts Centre for a month, is set to leave this Friday.

Speaking to Showbiz in an interview in Gaborone yesterday, Hama Goro, explained that he took up residency at the centre partly to familiarise himself with the art climate in Botswana.

"We as Malian artists would like to collaborate with Batswana in order to share artistic knowledge," he said.
