SOWA: The cross-rhythm of drums and guitars, the heavy deft footwork of traditional dancers and the lyrics defied the windy and chilly weather as hundreds of music fans thronged Sowa Stadium on Saturday night for the musical delivery of soldier-boy Maghebula of Ka Lokeke fame.

The Sefhare-born soldier turned musician Alfred Keorete aka Maghebula  has been on a nationwide tour  to promote his second album titled Gata Ka Lekeke.Entertainment-starved Sowa residents made it a family fun event as they thronged the stadium with their children to witness the rising star of traditional music in Botswana. Even  the MD of Sowa mine (BOTASH), Montwedi Mphathi was among the hundreds of music fans that thronged the stadium to pay homage to the artist.

Maghebula's album has been making waves on the local radio stations and the song that many loved the most is the remix version of Setlhako Se A Lela.A loaded traditional music album has got eight tracks. Some of the most revered songs are Mme Motsadi, Ke Jele Selo and Naledi.  And it was when he started singing these songs during the Saturday show that Sowa reverberated into a frenzy, for this was the first time such a gig had been held there. However, what was more significant was that the Maghebula show brought together the community of Sowa.
