Freshlyground to take Botswana to the dance

Fresh from their United States of America (US) tour, South African super-group Freshlyground will make a return to Botswana with a show lined up at the Botswanacraft early next month.

The revered Cape Town group will give local fans a taste of their new offing Take Me To The Dance when they grace Botswanacraft, exactly three years after their last show at the venue on April 5.The Afro-fusion outfit, famed for the smash hit Doo Be Doo, make a welcome return to Botswana after their last appearance in 2010 where it left revellers screaming for more.Oliver Groth of Botswanacraft confirmed the Freshlyground tour, saying the group would come to the country after their US tour.

"They are very excited and happy to be playing at Botswanacraft. They once played here three years ago and they enjoyed playing at the venue," Groth told Showbiz.Apart from playing their new tunes, Freshly ground will also play songs from their previous albums.  Freshlyground leave for the US next week. They perform at the Paradise Rock Club on March 17 in Boston, Massachusetts before another show in Vienna, Virginia four days later and the last stop in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on March 22.  They have just released the first music video from their new album, the title track Take Me To The Dance. The video was directed by Samuel Coleman, the track and video mark a new stylistic direction for the group.
