Fashion designers and brands had the chance to display their latest collections on the runway on Friday at Maitisong when the cultural Pride Expo held a designers exhibition. The event which attracted quite a large audience was under the theme 'Afro-Lize Me'.

The show consisted of eight designers who all wowed the crowd with their amazing designs thereby letting people know what's "in" and what's "out" for the season. Even though the audience chose a favourite designer in Puseletso for her ready-to-wear clothes, the judges begged to differ when in the end Lebang Seetso's leather garments outshone the rest and were chosen as the winner.Seetso's designs were leather garments which she described as 'fashion accessories' that show the identity of the Setswana culture. The designer who was over the moon told Showtime that this year, she has been winning so many competitions and she was not surprised when she won this one.

The leather bags and bangles that both females and males paraded in were accompanied by a lot of cheering as the designs were simply exclusive and breath-taking."We use lots of colour as colour is the 'in' thing this season and we try to keep up with the latest trends in the bag industry," added Seetso. Her run-ups were Keneilwe Ngathi who scooped position two with her Keniki Designs that she described as infusing what we already have but modernising and styling it using the german print which she got from Ghana and Mozambique."I was mixing up something that can be easily worn for example my suits can be worn by women going to work," said the 26-year-old.
