FRANCISTOWN: More than 600 revellers packed the Lizard Entertainment in Francistown to the rafters on Saturday night to see popular and respected South African DJ Black Coffee do what he knows best.

Real name Nkosinathi Maphumulo, the 32-year-old Black Coffee sets alight, instantaneously transforming the emerging nightspot into a hive of an activity. Most of the house music lovers had only learnt about the respected South African disc jockey and music producer through the media. And this was the only opportunity for them to witness the talented vinyl spinner live.  And the talented DJ astonished many people who thronged the hangout joint.  House music lovers did not know what to expect from the man whose left hand is not functional at all with others looking down upon him.  DJ Black Coffee was performing at a joint where nothing much usually happens to really tickle the night-crawlers. It is against this backdrop that some people were despising him because he was doing something that had never been done in Francistown before.  The popular DJ rocked Lizard Entertainment, leaving his audience begging for more.  He took ever the show from local DJs at around midnight and started rocking uncontrollably.

Wearing a black cap and a simple shirt, Black Coffee looked simple as assumed ownership of the show.  Probably because of the language barrier, Black Coffee chose to greet his fans with a wonderfully and piercing piece of tune while waving his hand. The crowd responded by screaming and jostling to be next to the music box.  But the place was so packed that those who had occupied the back seats could not have the opportunity to get closer to the talented South African.  As a way of introducing one of his artistes, Tamelo, to the local market, Black Coffee belted some of the tunes from the album expected to be released in the next two weeks.  After that, he went on to blow up with his underground hit Kwanele.
