FRANCISTOWN: The 2013 Commonwealth beauty pageant started on a low note on Saturday at Adansonia Hotel in Francistown, as only nine contestants turned up for the auditions.

The auditions which were expected to last for the rest of the day ended earlier because there were no contestants showing up for the try-out.

From Francistown, organisers are expected to hold other auditions in Maun before wraping up the auditions at Gaborone on March 30, 2013.  After the March 30 auditions in Gaborone, the Top 18 contestants will be selected.
Out of the 18 selected contestants, the number will be trimmed down to four.
