Childhood passion pays off for talented Badisa

Godiraone Badisa was one of the few artists who greatly impressed at the recent Serowe Agricultural Show, with her colourful and decorative bowls, dustbins and pots, where Arts & Culture caught up with her.

As a little girl moulding 'pots' out of clay, Godiraone Badisa could not have imagined that the talent she had back then would today help her put bread on the table for the family.  Her wares at the show caught the eye of Arts & Culture.  These (wares) included colourful and decorative bowls, dustbins and pots.

"I was really fond of moulding clay play things such as small cooking pots and storage pots as a child, and unknowingly, this made the artist that I am today," says the artist.
