Centy looking to spread her wings

This staunch R&B follower is currently working on her own album and believes she has learnt enough over the years to start competing for her own space in the competitive world of music.Her performance at the recent Maitisong Festivals got a few heads nodding in appreciation of her raw talent. "Music needs patience and although I have been involved for so many years I have no regrets that I could have started earlier as a solo performer," Centy gently told Showbiz.
Centy believes she is a combination of everything as far as music is concerned. Ironically, she has performed more than five genres and this is reflected in her coming album, which is a mixture of Kwaito, Afro-pop and jazz."I think the fact that I performed with different groups has multi-skilled me because I am at ease doing various types of music," she said proudly. The Tsabong woman is a multi-linguist able to speak among others Isixhosa, IsiZulu, Afrikaans and Herero.
