He says he is excited about the level of support he has been receiving in the country after several live performances he has had there. After a few shows in Rustenburg, Bakgatla says he was very well-received. He said: "I am now starting to think that I have become one of the most popular and influential rappers in today's Motswako genre as people here seem to love my music. They say it is different and catchy."The young lad said he is currently working on his next album. He is experimenting with new sounds on this album which has house music.
"I am working with my family, N-tity recording suite, Musiqgate Entertainment and Stargaze Promotions. Also, I have an endorsement from a company called Raregem and my fans will be happy to know that I am almost done with the album. It's going to blow them away considering my maturity and change of style," he said.Mookodi's latest single Tobetsa has been making quite a buzz on local radio and television stations. He is confident that the other tracks on his album will be as popular Tobetsa."Tobetsa premiered on Sound Cloud and already it has over 600 plays in less than a month," he said.Bakgatla says his music is selling well in South Africa. He said: "The support I am getting is unbelievable considering the music standards in this country and a much broader market is opening up for me. Great things are happening for me. I am getting endorsements and sponsorships. When I get back there (Botswana), I will be going on a tour called Tour'Beats with T.H.A.B.O, DJ Oats, Nelsonik, DJ NT Base, DJ Boogie Sid and other performers in a bid to bring music close to our fans."
