A disappointing Miss Botswana final

Were the top five final contestants in the supposedly glamorous Miss Botswana beauty pageant stage frightened or was it just a question of beauty without brains? This question must have been revolving in the minds of most people who watched the beauty contest on Saturday.

The five who made it to the top five stage of the coveted competition did not show signs of intelligence and class during the question session, fumbling through the process as their lack of confidence also clearly came to the fore.

The contestants seemed not to understand what the questions required of them.  The only contestant amongst the Top 5 who managed to give convincing answers with strong points was the ultimate winner, Rosemary Keofitlhetse. Keofitlhetse had leverage over others as she gave quite a detailed answer when asked how she could promote Botswana to the international audience. In giving her answer Keofitlhetse started by saying that Botswana prides itself in its resources and talked about diamonds and how they have been sustaining the country's economy.
