One of the things that make the competition special is that it promotes healthy living through the arts with the main focus on the heart, which is a first in Botswana.
Organisers say that the 'Heart Art Competition' was initiated last year with only six schools participating. This year it involved 86 schools from Gaborone, Ramotswa and Francistown and an estimated 30,000 primary school children participated.
