Poets Give Poetry Enthusiasts Big Treat

Contemporary poetry is growing in leaps and bounds in Botswana and that was recently demonstrated by the number of people who attended Exodus Live Poetry's 4th Annual Infinite Word Festival at Maitisong Hall, Maru-a-pula, last Saturday.

One of the interesting things about the festival is that it provides an alternative form of entertainment, which can be described as 'clean'.

The youthful Jimson Richard from Masunga, who recites his poems in Ikalanga, was one of the acts in the first set. Although some poetry enthusiasts did not understand what the poet was saying, the poet was in his element and did his best to impress.
