Plenty Of Talent At MAD

The My African Dream auditions were held over the weekend. There was sheer talent as the juniors did their level best to win the hearts of the judges.

There were about 80 groups, but of these, only 10 had to be selected to represent the Gaborone section.

It was tough, and perhaps a little harder for some who had not put much practice into their act. Stivosky, a group of young Pantsula dancing boys, came and with their acrobatic moves thrilled the audience. Poets also had their day, as they also tried to represent, dropping words in a string of melodious tunes, creating some kind of music in the process. Daniel Taric, Gouta Eyman, Psycho Kings, The Exotics, Flames and Lenah Seleke made it to the top 10. Another group, which made up this list, was Exotic Twist, a hip-hop ensemble that was so electric during their stage performance that their calculated moves were reminiscent of Stomp the Yard flick.
