The alarm could not have been raised at a better time. President Ian Khama had paid a surprise visit to the Mystar's grand finale.

The minister responsible for culture, Gladys Kokorwe attended as guest speaker, while the minister responsible for Botswana Television (Btv),  Pelonomi Venson-Moitoi as well as the Btv boss Mogomotsi Kaboeamodimo were also present.

The stage was thus set for Master D,  who has been producing the hit Btv music talent show for three years running, to make  his plea.
