'Manika' Promises To Rock Music Industry

Manika, the new kid on the kwaito block is set to unsettle many who arrived before him. That is if his coming album can be used as a yardstick. The youngster does not only pile up the numbers. He is here to compete though it might be too early to shower him with undue praise.

At the end of this month, the former Molefhi Senior Secondary School student will be dishing out his debut album titled 'Bazo Khala', a mixture of our own brand of kwaito branded kwaito-kwasa which fuses both kwaito and kwasa kwasa tunes, and a South African blend of kwaito.

Manika, whose real name is Badirile Ganne, a former dancer for the borankana group Tselakgopo, believes that he will bring a different dimension to the local music industry. Though, like many who came before him, he sounds like his idol Vee, he is oozing with confidence that he will distinguish himself from the rest.
