It was the grand entrance of Generations soap star Connie Ferguson that left most local women gushing at the cherry on top of an evening filled with surprises.

Clad in a gold suit and exuding confidence, she walked to the podium as guest speaker at the Standard Chartered Bank Diva Club Account launch at Gaborone Sun last Friday.
The event, fit for stars, was characterised by red carpet, camera flashes and live video shoots of the guests.

Apologising for arriving late at the event because of the traffic congestionfrom Johannesburg, Ferguson said a diva should never apologise. She said she was not always that confident because as young Connie she was a scrawny girl and the butt of skinny jokes.
