For more than five years, Tebogo Hevendon's job has been to make his customers' hair look trendy and there is nothing that makes him more satisfied than a client's smile of contentment.

Nowadays, Batswana, both male and female, want to look well groomed and the young man never runs short of clients.

When the 27-year-old hair-stylist from Herero ward in Mahalapye took up the job in 2002, he thought it would be only for a short time. He had only wanted to keep himself busy while waiting for something better to crop up and now, it is clear that he feels at home in a salon more than in any other place.
